ADVERT: Update from PSNA Whanganui
Update from Orlando Bright of PSNA Whanganui (Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa) "There is still so much we can do to battle the despair and apathy so many of us are feeling in the eleventh month of this genocide."
Update from Orlando Bright of PSNA Whanganui:
In the wake of becoming Aotearoa’s first council to vote for a ceasefire in Gaza, our local Whanganui group of activists are continuing the mahi! Still buzzing with pride in how our beautiful community came together for Palestinians, we enter the second half of the year with opportunities to connect the community with film screenings, community collabs and secret art projects (stay tuned).
There is still so much we can do to battle the despair and apathy so many of us are feeling in the eleventh month of this genocide. We have the collective power to build a better world, and these easy, local actions make a genuine difference:
Boycott the likes of Obela hummus and SodaStream (download the ‘No Thanks!’ App to easily scan products in store);
Educate ourselves and others about Palestinian history and how that plays out today (hint: Google ‘Nakba’);
Vote for leaders who take meaningful action on human rights, and supporting groups in desperate need of funding by
Donate to verified orgs on the ground saving lives in Gaza (visit psna.nz/where-to-donate-for-palestine for a list).
We know that none of us can truly be free unless all of us are free. Join us as we continue to fight for a better world we know is possible alongside our global whānau! Contact our friendly crew on Facebook and Instagram to get involved.
